Huey Edward Coon
Huey Edward Coon was 69 and held at William E. Donaldson Correctional Facility in Bessemer, where he was in the prison's infirmary. Around 11 a.m. on September 18, 2026, nursing staff found him unresponsive, and he was pronounced dead a minute later. The Jefferson County coroner's office said there was no sign of trauma or foul play, and the Department of Corrections said it was investigating.
