Howard East, 53, died on August 5, 2015, while held at the Upson County Jail in Upson County, Georgia, about four days after he was booked. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation autopsy attributed his death to pulmonary thromboembolism caused by deep leg vein thrombosis, and the manner of death was recorded as natural.
