Henry Stair

Henry Stair was hanged at Nevada, Missouri, on January 15, 1886, in what was reported as a judicial execution. A brief Narragansett Herald report, published eight days later, described the hanging in a few lines and gave the date. A second paper, the Abbeville Press and Banner, carried a short item on February 3, 1886, that said Henry Stair was hanged at Nevada on the 15th. Neither account gives further details of the execution, his age, or his life, and no objections to the execution are recorded in these sources.
