Henry Popp was hanged at the penitentiary annex in Columbus, Ohio, shortly after midnight on December 19, 1890. He was executed alongside Elmer Sharkey, according to a report in the Daily Tobacco Leaf-Chronicle published the following day. The report says he died without a struggle.
