Hellren

Hellren was held in the jail at Salem, Indiana. According to a Fair Play newspaper account published in July 1873, a mob took Hellren from the jail and hanged them. The killing happened while Hellren was in the jail's custody, and the mob took them from there.

Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched. Fair Play newspaper reports that a mob took Hellren from the Salem, Indiana jail and hanged him.
