Heather Leighann Davis Carter
Heather Leighann Davis Carter, 28, of Conway, South Carolina, died while held at the Aiken County Detention Center in Aiken County. A news report says she was found in her cell with a sheet around her neck and that emergency crews took her to Aiken Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables ruled her death a suicide, and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is continuing its investigation. Reports give two different dates of death, July 19 and July 29, 2021.
