Hays S. W. Crawford
Hays S. W. Crawford was held in the jail at Berkeley Springs, West Virginia, and died there in August 1876. A dispatch published in The Dallas Daily Herald reported that a body of masked men took Hays S. W. Crawford from the jail late at night. The same dispatch said the group hanged them. Hays S. W. Crawford's death is dated August 23, 1876.
