Hans Thorpe
Hans Thorpe worked as a seaman before settling in Minot, where he later worked for the railroad. He was hanged on September 14, 1900, at a site then outside the Minot city limits, about half a mile southeast of the Ward County courthouse. The account says he spent his last moments talking with reporters.
