Hamilton

Hamilton was held in the jail at Warren, Arkansas. On January 22, 1887, a mob took him from the jail and lynched him, along with a man named Medbury, according to a Little Rock dispatch published in the Fort Worth Daily Gazette. Early reports said friends had taken the two men away from the jail, but later accounts contradicted that. The Osceola Times and The Brookhaven Leader also reported that a mob took the two men from the jail where they were held together.
