Gus Johnson

Gus Johnson was hanged at Rome, Georgia, in March 1878, in a judicial execution. The American Citizen reported the hanging on March 15, 1878, in a brief item that gave no further detail about him. The Narragansett Herald also reported the hanging, in a piece published March 23, 1878, but gave no date for it. No objection to the execution appears in either source.
