Gregory Smith
Gregory Smith died on July 13, 2016, while held at Mack Alford Correctional Center in Stringtown, Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Department of Corrections said a fight broke out among four men in the facility's day room that night, and that the men used homemade knives before correctional officers stopped it within a few minutes. Smith was pronounced dead at a hospital in Coalgate, and three other men were treated for stab and cut wounds. The department's Inspector General opened an investigation, and officials had not yet released the cause of the fight or a manner of death.
