Gregory Lynds
Gregory Lane Lynds, 42, of Antioch, died on October 17, 2020, at the West County Detention Facility in Richmond, where he was held. The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office said he was found in his cell with a bedsheet wrapped around his neck, and that jail medical staff and deputies gave aid until the fire department and an ambulance arrived. He was pronounced dead at the jail. According to the sheriff's office, a coroner's jury ruled the death a suicide, and the sheriff's office and district attorney's office were investigating it as an apparent suicide.
