Gregory Adams Jr., 35, died on November 9, 2018, at Columbus Correctional Institution, a state prison in Columbus County, North Carolina. The N.C. Department of Public Safety said he had been stabbed in the neck, and he was pronounced dead at Columbus Regional in Whiteville at 8:40 a.m. The Columbus County Sheriff's Department and the State Bureau of Investigation are investigating the death as a homicide, and no arrests had been made when the report was published.
