Grayson Redd
Grayson Redd, 74, was a retired chief deputy with the San Juan County Sheriff's Office in Utah, and he was the father of Brian Redd, who leads the state's Department of Corrections. Redd was released on bail, and two days later, on July 28, 2024, his death in the Monticello area was reported as a suicide. A Corrections spokesman said the family was devastated and trying to make sense of what happened. The county attorney said she had been concerned that he might try to kill himself.
