Grant Mickens
Grant Mickens, 35, died on February 16, 2017, after he was stabbed while held at a state prison in Elmore County, Alabama. The Alabama Department of Corrections said he was stabbed in the back, chest and arms around 9:40 a.m. and was pronounced dead about ten minutes after reaching the health care unit. Reports name the facility as either Staton or Elmore Correctional Facility. Another person held at the prison has been charged in connection with his death.
