Gilbert Delestre
Gilbert Delestre, 29, was held at the Donald W. Wyatt Detention Facility in Central Falls, Rhode Island, from early July 2019. He was admitted to intensive care at Rhode Island Hospital on a Thursday and died on Sunday, August 25, 2019. Spokesman Christopher Hunter said he had numerous chronic health problems and that staff had closely monitored him. The cause of death has not been determined, and an autopsy is pending.
