Gian Anthony Soleil
Gian Anthony Soleil, 45, died on September 22, 2026, while held at the Vista Detention Facility in San Diego County. The San Diego County Sheriff's Office said a deputy found him hanging in his cell during a security check that night, and he was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly before midnight. The sheriff's office said the cause appeared to be self-inflicted hanging, and its Homicide Unit is investigating while the Medical Examiner determines the cause and manner of death. The sheriff's office said a Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to support his family.
