Germaine Lane
Germaine Lane, 25, died on February 22, 2023, while held at the Leon County jail in Florida. A correctional officer found him in his cell shortly before midnight, about 20 minutes after speaking with him, and he was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Leon County Sheriff Walt McNeil said all indications point to a self-inflicted death. The medical examiner is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement is assisting the investigation. His family has been notified of his death.
