Gerardo Garcia
Gerardo Garcia, 22, was found dead in 1997 at the El Paso County jail in Texas. Prosecutors said he was injected with heroin three times the amount that could have killed him, and people held at the jail testified at trial that another prisoner had given him the drug. The death was classified as a homicide. The defense argued that Garcia had a death wish and was considering suicide.
