Died in prison
Gerald Steven Parker
Gerald Parker, 47, of Creston, died on May 4, 2026, while held at the Iowa State Penitentiary in Fort Madison, according to a press release from the Iowa Department of Corrections. A KCRG report published May 6, 2026 also described his death as occurring at an Iowa prison on a Monday. The Department of Corrections has not stated a cause or manner of death in its release.
