Gerald Pierce
Gerald Pierce was held at Grafton Correctional Institution in Lorain County, Ohio. According to the Plain Dealer's reporting, he suffered severe head injuries after being struck with a blunt object in an attack on December 1, 2013, and died within days. Lorain County Coroner Stephen Evans classified his death as a homicide. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating, and as of the January 2014 report no one had been charged and no suspect had been publicly named.
