George Williams
George Williams, a Black man, was held at the jail in LaGrange, Kentucky. According to the American Citizen, a mob took him from the jail on the night of November 20, 1878, and hanged him. A brief item in the Brenham Weekly Banner also reported that he was hanged after being taken from the jail.
