George Mack
George Mack was held in the custody of officers at Great Bend, Kansas, after being brought there from Kansas City in May 1885. According to the Delta Chief, a mob took him from the officers, put a rope around his neck, dragged him behind a horse at full gallop to town and hanged him. A second account, from the Connecticut Western News, says a mob took him from the officers and hanged him, without giving a date. Neither account says whether the officers resisted the mob or handed him over.
