George Kearney
George Kearney, 78, was terminally ill and had signed an order with jail medical staff directing that no lifesaving measures be taken if he stopped breathing. He was found unresponsive in the St Joseph County jail's medical unit on a Saturday night in March 2019 and was pronounced dead early the next morning. The St Joseph County prosecutor's office said the cause and manner of his death were pending, with autopsy results expected to be released that Monday.
