George Ellis
George Ellis, 70, died in April 2026 at the Troup County Jail in Georgia, where he was held. He was found unresponsive in his dorm early on a Saturday morning, and he was taken to Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, where he later died. The Troup County Sheriff's Office says the cause of death is unknown until the Georgia Bureau of Investigation completes an autopsy, which is pending. The sheriff's office says staff take every death seriously.
