George Edward Townsend, 55, of Poth, died on August 6, 2019. According to the Wilson County sheriff, Floresville police brought him to the Wilson County Jail, where he had not yet been processed in when he went into cardiac arrest before receiving a medical evaluation. EMS took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy report attributed his death to excited delirium, and the Texas Rangers investigated at the sheriff's office's request.
