Gary Wayne Burriss
Gary Wayne Burriss, 47, was found dead at the Campbell County Jail in Tennessee on April 19, 2024. The Campbell County Sheriff's Office said his death was not caused by staff action or negligence or by an overdose, and that he had preexisting medical conditions before his detention. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said in May 2024 that it was awaiting autopsy results and that its investigation was ongoing. The cause and manner of his death remain pending.
