Frodscham
Frodscham was held in the jail at Leadville, Colorado, when a large crowd took him from it in November 1879 and hanged him in a shed next to the jail. Reports give different hours, either about 1 o'clock in the morning or about 10 in the morning on November 20. One account says a placard left around his neck threatened other suspected thieves, and another says opinion was divided on the mob's action. As of publication, the authorities had taken no action on the killing, and one account says his body remained in the shed for the rest of the day.
Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched
