Frederick T. Hopkins Jr.
Frederick T. Hopkins Jr., 81, died on April 18, 2026, in the prison hospital wing run by the South Carolina Department of Corrections at MUSC Chester. He had been in that hospital wing since January 2025, after an extended illness. A South Carolina Department of Corrections spokesperson said he died of natural causes.
