Died in prison
Fred Schon
Fred Schon, 87, died on August 3, 2024, at the Wyoming Medium Correctional Facility in Torrington, Wyoming, where he was held. The Wyoming Department of Corrections said that its policy calls for an autopsy to determine the cause of death and that it does not release protected health information, so no cause has been given. Reporting from Oil City News and Cap City News gives his date of birth as January 23, 1937, in Chicago, and otherwise adds little about his life. The manner and cause of his death remain pending.
