Fred Ames, Jr.

Fred Ames, Jr. was a boy held at the Maryland House of Reformation and Instruction for Colored Children, a reform school for Black children. His niece, speaking in a press release, said families treasure the chance to preserve their memories of him. His brother Robert Ames was also held at the institution and survived. His remains are among the burials at the school's former site, which a Georgetown University report documented.
