Frank Russell, 69, died in 2024 after he was assaulted overnight at the Perry County Jail in Alabama, where he was being held. According to the Perry County District Attorney, another person held at the jail attacked him, and he died of his injuries later that week. The district attorney has classified the death as a homicide, and the other person has been charged with murder in connection with it.
