Frank Kirk
Frank Kirk, 54, died on July 2, 2021 in his cell at the Rockingham County jail in Reidsville, North Carolina. In the hours before his death he had complained of abdominal pain, and the cause of death was a perforated duodenal ulcer. The jail's own account, as reported by the News & Observer, was that jailers checked on people more often than they had in other cases. The same reporting found those checks were still less frequent than state regulations require.
