Frank Dayton
According to The Salt Lake Herald, Frank Dayton was among several men who went over the outer wall of the Utah State Prison during an escape. The paper reported that a guard shot him as he dropped to the ground outside the wall, and that he was killed. The other escapees were recaptured except two, and a posse with bloodhounds was searching for those two.
Cause of death, as reported: Killed by staff. The Salt Lake Herald reported that a guard shot Frank Dayton while he was dropping over the outer wall during an escape from the Utah State Prison.
