Foster G. Bowen was an 88-year-old retired Huntington police captain. Bowen was being held at a West Virginia prison when Bowen died at a hospital on June 8, 2018. Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety spokesman Lawrence Messina said the body had been sent to a medical examiner for an autopsy. No cause or manner of death had been given in the reporting.
