Fernando Asturizaga
Fernando Asturizaga, 51, was held at Western Correctional Institution in Cumberland, Maryland. A correctional officer found him dead in his cell on the evening of April 12, 2018. Maryland's Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services said all indications were that he died by suicide, though the medical examiner had not yet made a final determination. The department's Internal Investigative Division is investigating along with Maryland State Police.
