Felix Manus
Felix Manus, 48, is survived by his daughter, Bryhanna Manus, and his longtime girlfriend, Amanda Tucholski, who are co-administrators of his estate. He was in the Erie County work-release program when he had an asthma attack during an outdoor work shift near Edinboro. The estate's federal civil rights lawsuit says corrections officers delayed calling 911 and first drove him back to the work-release center, where he waited further for care, and the family says he suffered cardiac arrest from lack of oxygen. He never regained consciousness and died at UPMC Hamot; the county and officers denied responsibility, and the lawsuit was settled with terms not disclosed.
