Felipe Gómez Alonzo
Felipe Gómez Alonzo was an eight-year-old boy from Guatemala. He died on December 24, 2018, at a medical center in Alamogordo, New Mexico, after six days in the custody of U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen issued a statement on his death, and the Department of Homeland Security opened an investigation into it.
