Faith Evans
Faith Evans died in late April 2024 at the Campbell County Jail in Tennessee. Her mother, Phyllis Evans, said Faith called her every day while she was held there, and that the family was not told of the death until days after those calls stopped. An autopsy listed the cause of death as a stroke due to methamphetamine toxicity. The Campbell County Sheriff's Office said the death was not caused by staff action or negligence or by an overdose, and that Evans had preexisting medical conditions, while the TBI said in May that its investigation was ongoing. Her mother said the jail had told her that Faith was fine while she was held there.
