Fabian Cortez
Fabian Cortez, 41, died on March 21, 2023, while held at the Harris County Jail in Texas. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, detention staff found him unresponsive with a drawstring from his jacket around his neck about four hours after he was booked, and he was later pronounced dead at St. Joseph Hospital. The Texas Office of the Attorney General listed his death in its custodial death report. No cause or manner of death has been determined.
