Evan Todd, 84, died on September 14, 2017, while held at the Choctaw County Jail in Choctaw County, Alabama. Sheriff Scott Lolley said he died of natural causes and had been under hospice care while in the jail. The Alabama Bureau of Investigation is conducting a death investigation into his death.
