Evan Smith
Evan Smith, 39, died on July 4, 2023, while held at SCI Benner Township, a state prison in Centre County, Pennsylvania. The Department of Corrections said staff found him unresponsive in his cell. He was pronounced dead at Mount Nittany Medical Center shortly before 2:30 a.m. The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating, and the Centre County Coroner's Office will determine the cause and manner of death.
