Eva Kanja, 28, died on May 12, 2022, while held at the Cobb County Jail in Georgia. The Cobb County Sheriff's Office said she had been undergoing a mental health evaluation at the time. The sheriff's office has not released a cause of death, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was asked to conduct an external investigation.
