Eugene Washington
Eugene Washington, 35, died on October 28, 2019, at the Winnebago County Jail in Rockford, Illinois. According to MyStateline, another person held in the jail found him unresponsive in his cell that morning, and he was taken to SwedishAmerican Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Winnebago Boone County Integrity Task Force and Winnebago County Coroner Bill Hintz said an autopsy found he died of a cardiac arrhythmia, an irregular heartbeat, caused by sleep apnea, according to a report released in May 2020. The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office classified the manner of death as natural.
