Eugene Evans
Eugene Evans, a 73-year-old man who worked as a truck driver and was the father of three, died in 2021 while held at the Clayton County Jail in Georgia. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the jail attributed his death to illness. A WSB-TV report says Senator Jon Ossoff named him in a letter as one of several people whose deaths at the jail were untimely and unnecessary, though that report gives no date or cause of death.
