Ervin Ray Turner
Ervin Ray Turner was 92 when he was found dead on a Monday morning in a wooded homeless camp behind a building on Mike Padgett Highway in Augusta, about two weeks after he was released from Lee State Prison. The Richmond County Coroner's Office pronounced him dead and attributed the death to natural causes, after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation declined to perform an autopsy. The coroner said he may have been dead for a day or two, and it is unclear how long he had been staying at the camp.
