Ernest Little Jr., 38, was held at the Mobile County Metro Jail in Mobile, Alabama. On June 26, 2023, he was found unresponsive in his cell by the men he shared it with. The Mobile County sheriff said he had a medical history and that his death was believed to be a medical event, but that no conclusion would be drawn until an autopsy was complete. A preliminary investigation found no signs of foul play.
