Erick Jones, 23, was held at the Shelby County Main Jail in Memphis, Tennessee. The Shelby County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a disturbance in his cell and found him injured, and that a cellmate fatally stabbed him. Jail staff gave him medical care before Memphis Fire Department took him to Regional One Health, where he died. The Sheriff's Office says the investigation is ongoing.
