Eric Van Wleren
Eric Van Wleren died on August 26, 2024, after he was found unresponsive in his cell at the Wexford County Jail in northern Michigan and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead that night. The Wexford County Sheriff's Office said corrections officers called 911 and used an automatic external defibrillator before EMS arrived. The Michigan State Police are investigating his death, and no cause of death has been publicly given.
