Eric Magana
Eric Magana, 26, of the Livermore area, died at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin, Alameda County, on April 27, 2023. The Alameda County Sheriff's Office said he had been drinking a large amount of water and vomiting that day and was moved to a medical outpatient housing unit. The sheriff's office said a deputy found him unresponsive at 3:25 p.m., that paramedics could not save him, and that he was pronounced dead at 4:05 p.m., and it said no cause for concern was found during his medical and mental health intake. Patch reported that he was found unresponsive in his bed hours after a deputy saw him drinking water and vomiting, a timeline that differs from the sheriff's account.
